"What I can say is that it is delightful and non-threatening, and playing it has typically left me feeling pleasantly drowsy and contented, the way I might after wandering around a brightly-lit midway, munching a corn dog covered in mustard in a gauzy childhood memory of the carnival." Extract the contents of the folders into your Parkitect\Mods\ folder (usually found in your Documents folder, wherever that might be).
PARKITECT GUIDE INSTALL
"I’ve missed out on Roller Coaster Tycoon and its descendants, so I can’t compare Parkitect to those games," wrote Bourdreau. In order to install any of my mods, follow these simple steps: Download any of the mods here.
PARKITECT GUIDE PATCH
Crossplay between Windows, Mac and Linux is also currently unsupported, though the devs hope to patch that in at a later date.Ĭompared to the more stressful book-balancing of your Rollercoaster Tycoons and Planet Coasters, contributor Ian Boudreau found Texel Raptor's wee sim to be a pleasant delight in his Parkitect review - one more concerned with letting you get creative than worrying about whether all your customers would be murdered by your latest contraption. A shame, but not a terrible one considering the small team behind the game.
While the host can toggle items on or off to let people who don't own them in, it's a shame not to see the game let you share DLC at least temporarily. Sadly, it looks like everyone in the party will need to own a piece of DLC before it can be used in a session. You can hop into a sandbox map or any of the game's campaign scenarios - and while the devs reckon some mods may need a little tinkering to work properly, most should work out of the box in multiplayer.
PARKITECT GUIDE UPDATE
A must have for theme park management game fans.Parkitect's multiplayer update lets up to eight players all hop into the same theme park, working together to build a grand old amusement park in a fraction of the time. Current tutorial too simple and not very interactive. Would have loved a better tutorial with more advanced stuff.

Overall, Parkitect is a great addition to the tycoon genre of strategy games in a year that has had a few really good ones. The user interface could be much better and currently takes some time getting used to it, especially if you haven’t played Rollercoaster Tycoon before. It’s not just a creative suite of options in building a pretty park but a solid tycoon game on its own right. Parkitect is a fabulous ode to a great game. At this point in time, I couldn’t see that these events had any link how may park was doing. Or maybe you build a lot of hotdogs stand and that increases the chance of getting the raw resource price increase.

It would have been awesome if the viral videos correlated you having a very popular rollercoaster. This adds a very nice challenge to the economy side of things but that these random events could be slightly less random. And sometimes negative reviews will impact the number of guests you receive. Sometimes you might get a good event someone shares a video of your park that goes viral, attracting larger crowds. The events system also adds an element of randomness to your parks economy.
